La Ribera

An apartment building for young families is implemented in a typically deep but slim plot in the Santa María La Ribera neighbourhood of Mexico City. To avoid inequality within the range of apartments, each one is designed as a three-floor townhouse with large south-facing windows overlooking a green courtyard. All apartments are entered through a shared patio. With an open living area on the ground level, each flat turns gradually more private with each floor that is vertically accessed by a private stair within the townhouse. 

Individual private terraces on the rooftop allow for outdoor living benefitting from the warm Mexican climate whilst inhabitants can enjoy views across the city.
